The following email comes from Bro. Vitaly who has been working in the small childrens orphanage...my understanding is that it was a temporary situation once he lost his job with the previous orphanage that we have been working with. He is our contact there with those children and he is their only pastor, so this is an urgent prayer request to pray for his job situation. ------------------ Hi brother Guido, let God bless you! At me to you the urgent request! I ask you both other brothers and sisters prays for my job. Tomorrow from me end term of my job .Me took in Children chaus temporarily for 2 months. Bro. Denis was with me [Bro. Guido Vanbrabant] in Belgium this month. We were busy with planning our next Siberian visit. It is the first time that we go in the heart of winter time to Siberia. The main purpose for this is that the children are in their winter break. In Russia Christmas is on January the 7th, that's the reason they have their winter holidays a little later then here in the West. As you know I started a few months ago to get ready with my visa and other papers. My invitation for Siberia came in this week. Next week I apply for my Visa, so I'll get it beginning of December. I'm planning to fly to Moscow on January the 5th and meet Bro. Denis in Moscow January the 6th. We'll leave there the same day for Siberia where we will be January 7th. The same evening will try to have a meeting with the very small children from the orphanage Ogonoik . We like to give the small children oranges and bananas which we'll buy locally, the children really like that fruit, for us it is very common, but to the children there it is real special. I got also a lot of color books and pencils which I will take from Belgium, I'll carry as much as I'm permitted. On the 8 of January we go to the other orphanage, where our friends are that we know better. We will ask the lady director to let as much children as possible come with us for the meetings in town. Please keep this in prayer as we go to the lady director. Last time it was a blessing for the children who where able to travel with us to the meetings in town. This was made possible by the help of you, believers who got a feeling for the children. I believe sister Jelena will be with us this time to the meetings. I received a letter from her sister Tanya this week, soon as it is translated I'll share it with you. A very special prayer request. In the village Shushenskoye is a Baptist church, last time Bro. Denis and I received an invitation to have a service for them this time. Please pray that the Lord keep that door open. Imagine what a blessing it would be for the children if these people could receive this Message. We have also in mind to put up a mailbox for Bro. Vitaly, so that we can write to the children in the school through this box. Bro. Vitaly can distribute the mail to the children, which is much better. Bro. Guido, |

Hello... Here is a prayer request concerning shipping into Russia. There is a brother who has it on his heart to ship clothing into the orphanages. As soon as he began to investigate this, his shipper was blocked from shipping into Russia. He will have 180 lbs of baby/toddler clothing ready to go at a moments notice after next week. This will be the first shipment for the small children and the second shipment of clothing ever from Believers to the orphanages. Let's pray that the way will open up that these children might be blessed. Also, Bro. Guido and Bro. Denis will be returning to Siberia in January. Keep that trip in prayer as they prepare. There are several items I wish to update you all on...................................... * Bro. Guido has his visa and will be leaving for Siberia the first part of Jan. along with Bro. Denis. Please keep this trip in prayer, as always. ..................................... * Bro. Vitaly (the teacher/pastor of the children we have been in contact with the past several years) had one more paper to sign for his new job. At this time, I know nothing more and will update you as soon as I find out where he is to be working etc. ............................................ * The quilt project is continuing. We do not yet have 200 quilts, but we are getting there. However, this week we attempted to ship what we do have to Russia and were told to wait a couple of months. There is another brother on the West coast who is trying to ship clothing and is running into the same roadblocks. We were told that right now shipments are being lost, or the recipients are being charged an extraordinary amount to pick them up, and then Russia will sometimes return the shipment to the US only to charge us large fees to do that. So there are some problems there that the shippers are attempting to work out. However, we do have the shipping dollars thanks to several churches and individuals and we are ready to go. If anyone wants to make more quilts this winter to add to what we have, feel free to do that. I believe we will be able to ship these at some point in the near future. ........................................ * Cards and letters: thank you to all of you who have sent cards and letters to the children this holiday season. My understanding is that Russia celebrates Christmas on Jan. 7. Did you know that it only became an official holiday in 1993? So there is still time if you wish to send them a New Years card or one for Christmas. I called this week the Russian travel company and told them that I'm visiting Siberia and that on my journey I'll visit also an orphanage. "Is it possible to take extra baggage?" I asked the lady. When it is for the children you can take 40Kg instead of 20Kg she replied. But only gifts for the children she repeated. I told her that they can check my luggage if they like to and see for themselves that it is for the children..__________________ This is a great blessing, because I gathered a lot of thing for our young friends over there. Please pray that the Lord touch the hearts of the staff from the other company, the one that will fly us to Siberia.___________________ I'm leaving on January 4th at 11.55pm from Brussels, Sunday morning 5.300am I'll arrive in Moscow. Bro. Denis and his mother will arrive in Moscow around 9.00am. Then we are leaving Moscow for Abakan at 4:50 PM. We should arrive to Abakan at 1:30 am the next day, that will be on Monday January 6th._________ Keep us in your prayer, because I know from experience that it is very hard for the body to travel by night and losing all these hours of sleep due to the time gap.________ We'll stay in touch and try to send news while in Siberia._________ Bro. Greetings to all! Following is an update of some of the recent activities with the Siberian Youth Ministry........ We have told you in the past that Bro. Richard Drake has begun working with us and has begun using the Men of Vision organization. This has been an answer to prayer for us. This organization is a way for us to ship items and funnel funding. They have volunteers who can handle these things and are set up specifically to help administrate such projects as ours. However, we still need to be the ones donating the money for them to be able to do this work. [You can hop onto their website, given below, in order to read about some of the other projects they are involved with.]........ Through this group, we have sent 2 boxes of baby clothes to Siberia and are expecting to hear in June whether they have arrived. Once we confirm the channels through which these boxes went, then we will begin shipping the quilts and other items........ Following are some of the things we are working on and are asking help with:........ Donets'k in October........ Bro Byskal is preaching meetings in Donets'k in October. We are desirous of funding the travel of Bro Vitaly and two others to these meetings in Donets'k. We are needing up to $200 per person ($600 total) for the trip from Siberia to Donets'k for these 3 brothers. The money can go through Men of Vision as our administrators, but it MUST BE NOTED on the donation that it is meant to "help the Saints in Siberia get to the meetings in Donets'k" to ensure the funds get to the right place........ He has sent specific sizes of the Believers to us and volunteers have gathered and sent 4 boxes (through Men of Vision) of this clothing to Donets'k to be there for them. These will be transferred to suit cases and taken back home with them. ........ If anyone wants to donate clothes they can be sent to the mailing address of the Men of Vision, but be very selective. Clothing must be in GOOD condition with no stains, rips etc. A good thing to keep in mind is what Bro. Drake says.... "If you gave these clothes to your Lord: would you be proud to see Him wearing them?" ........ Letter Writing........ We are still writing to the children. If you need any addresses, please let me know. A number of the kids are now out on their own and appreciate hearing from us. A stamp from the United States only costs 80 cents. ........ Future Plans........ Once we gain confirmation of the arrival of the shipment we sent in Jan., we will give you more specifics as to what is planned as far regular clothing shipments and the cost of them. This area in Siberia is generally 3 times more costly to ship to than the Ukraine, so we are working on a way to send money directly to Bro. On May 29th we received a report that prayer has been answered and Bro. Vitaly is now a full time employee of the orphanage where he has been working with the younger children...... Here is a wonderful follow up from Bro. Guido... God bless you,..... On may 29 I sent you good news from Bro. Vitaly and his job... Here is even more good news, it comes from Bro. Vitaly through Bro. Denis... The Lord is at work. Which I believe is a result of all the prayers that's been sent... Bro. Guido ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Brother Guido, here is the testimony that Brother Vitaly wrote to me about the orphanage! I asked him how is everything going, and here is what he wrote: "We are all doing fine, for the glory of God. God is really working miracles in the Kindergarten Orphanage. Praise be to the Lord Jesus!!! In that orphanage there is a psichologist, she is taken on video on the last videotape of the trip to Siberia, she was talking with Sister Nadia there. So she is now reading the Message, reaching out to God! She went to the lady director and asked her to let me talk to the children about the Message of Christ! She would like to have in the orphanage kind of like a Sunday school lessons for the orphans, and that I would be allowed to tell both to the children and the adults about God right at work! That's a miracle in itself. God is wonderful! And all that started to happen because these little children started to pray and reach out to Christ! We pray with them, read and study children's Bible, sing songs about Christ, and they also learn to fellowship with God even when I am not at work". Brother Vitaly. |

God bless you, I called the Russian Embassy this week and will go next week for a VISA, please keep that case in prayer. ........ Before, Bro. Eledare used to send me an invitation, but he can't do it anymore, because he doesn't meet the qualification to invite me. So I have to go to the Embassy without an invitation, please pray that I don't have to buy one. ........ I took yet information for my tickets and it looks OK. I can leave September 9th and fly back home September 25th. ........ As the trip to Siberia is getting nearer, I was thinking on the fellowship we had when we were there this past January. ........ Bro. Vitaly told me this. It was about a year before Bro. Denis and I went to Shushenskoye for the first time. Bro. Vitaly spoke to the children about me and said, "Let us pray and ask the Lord that he send Bro. Guido, and when we pray let us believe that Bro. Guido will come and sit on this seat here in our little prayer room." ........ When Bro. Denis and I went over there the first time, it was about a year after the children prayed that prayer. We had a meeting in the children's prayer room and there I was sitting on that seat. Bro. Vitaly told me how happy the children were when they saw their prayer being fulfilled. ........ Bro. Guido |

All of us knows little Masha, a real fine Christian girl from the orphanage, believe me when you meet her it's a little sunshine in your life. ....................................... When we were in Shushenskoye January this year, I asked the other children about Masha because I didn't see her. One of the children told me that Masha was hiding from us. We heard that her walk with the Lord wasn't straight anymore, so I kept asking for her. ....................................... One afternoon Bro. Denis, his mother, and myself were in the orphanage and one of the girls told us that Masha was on her room. We all went to her room, Masha was sleeping, I took a seat and waited till Masha woke up. She was so surprised to see me, didn't say a word but those tears start to flow from her eyes. I could see that she really felt sorry and they were tears of repentance. I was so happy that Bro. Denis' mother was with us in the room, she put her arms around Masha to give her comfort. ....................................... That night I preached for the children this quote. Like a--a young girl... This happened here in Louisville not long ago. A woman, she was a--she was a--been a Christian for many years, but her husband had just.......................................... Fell in love, she fell in love with this man. He had been a Christian a couple years. And so they got married; they loved and had confidence in one another, and they got married. And so the woman said to the man, said, "Hubby, it must be hard on you; you're just a young Christian. You've had so much to go through with." (Drinking, what it was.)....................................... Said, "You've had so much to go through with." And said, "I know you're bound to be tempted awfully hard." And said, "I want you to know one thing now. Now, if you happen to fall, if you happen to--to fall into temptation and is overcome, don't stay away from home; you come on back. You come right here, 'cause I--I'm going to be right here waiting for you, and I'm going to help you pray through again until you get the victory. I'm going to stay with you, because when I married you, I married you because I loved you. And no matter what you are, I still love you." ....................................... I told the children,what ever happens in your life don't stay away from the Lord Jesus, I told them that we are their family, when they are hurt we are hurt. ....................................... Following is an update on what is being done through Men-of-Vision for the children in Siberia..................................... Clothing--- The first two boxes have not arrived, so we are attempting a different shipping path, Lord willing, on Monday. $1200 has been donated via the web site or post office box which was designated for clothing for the children 200 lbs. of personal, individually-sized clothing has been sent and is waiting for them to take home once the meetings they are at are over.....................................Travel $--- $200 has been collected for travel, which is enough to send one brother to the meetings in Donets'k. ..................................... Right now is a good time to donate money for Bro. Guido's trip next month or to help in travel expenses for the brothers or children. ..................................... Dear Saints, ..................... I received news from the brothers that organize the meetings in Siberia next month. They asked me how many believers and children they could invite to be at these meetings. By your help we were able to invite about 35 believers and children in the past, last time we paid $23.93 per person. That include in many cases a night or two traveling by train, three night at the hotel and three meals a day. I was talking with sister Sveta about Bro. Vitaly and his work. It is wonderful to hear what the Lord is doing there....... ....... As you know the psychologist came to the Lord and the Lady director asked Bro. Viatly to pray with the children. Believe me, THEY GOT A SUNDAY SCHOOL NOW. ....... ....... Sister Sveta told me of a little boy who prayed so sincere for his mama to come back, next day his mother stood at the school and took her child back home. ....... ....... God bless you, ............ On Friday September 12th we visited the orphanage were Bro. Vitaly is working. The children were all very happy to see us again. We also met the psychologist of the school, she is a very nice Christian lady, the children love her very much, and they call her mama. Since that lady came to the Lord a lot changed for the children. ............ We saw the room were they got their Sunday School and their prayermeetings. ............ Bro. Vitaly showed us the materials that they use for Sunday school. ............ Soon we’ll have the video from that visit. ............ I was asked to say a few things to these precious children, but the soup was yet served so I couldn’t take to much time. But we promised to visit them again in the afternoon when they were playing on the out side. ............ The children send all their love and greetings to you believers who stand for them in your prayers. ............ Bro. Guido |

God bless you, On September 9th, I arrived at St. Petersburg (before Leningrad) I like to give you also some report of my first day in Russia this time. Bro. Denis and his brother-in-law were waiting for me at the airport. The next day we visit the town, it is a very beautiful city, rich of history. ........... We saw the warship “Aurora” the gun on the ship fired and Russia was closed to the world for seventy years. ........... On the evening of September 10th we had a meeting with the believers in town. Bro. Alexander is the pastor in St. Petersburg, .......... Bro. Denis sister, her husband and children are going to the church there........ We had a wonderful time of fellowship, but to short, after that meeting Bro. Denis and I left for Siberia were we arrived September 11th. Click picture for larger image:

We all heard the powerful testimony of our Bro. Maxim, the young lawyer in Siberia. After he was healed by the Lord Jesus, his mother was curious about what happened with her son. So while Bro. Denis and I were there she invited us for dinner, Bro. Vitaly was also with us. ......... After we talked in her home she made this statement: “Here we are sitting waiting for the end of the world and Bro. Denis and Bro. Guido do so much effort, travel such great distances to warn us about.” ......... The same night we also met the father of Bro. Maxim, he is a very kind person, his work is connected to the University of Agriculture and the mother of Bro. Maxim is the director of tourism for the area. We told them about the coming meetings in their village Shushenskoye . Bro. Maxim’s mother came to the meeting the following day, that night I spoke on Salvation and I promised the people that the next meeting would be on Divine Healing, Bro. Maxim’s mother was very touched after the first meeting and she asked us again for dinner what we gladly accepted. ......... Next day Bro. Maxim’s mother was there again in the meeting, after that meeting she came to say goodbye because we left Shushenskoye with the night train to arrive the next morning in Novokuznetsk . So Bro. Maxim’s mother invited Bro. Denis and I to stay at her home when we visit next time. ......... The next week Friday September 19th , the group from Shushenskoye arrived at Novokuznetsk, with them was Bro. Maxim’s mother. ......... ‘I couldn’t stay home Bro. Guido knowing that there are meetings in town.’ ‘ The Lord will bless you for coming.’ I replied. ......... On Saturday morning I preached on borderline believers. After the service Bro. Maxim’s mother came to Bro. Denis and I and said ‘I’m standing at the border.’ I said ‘Wonderful’ so we had a short conversation before we went to eat, after the conversation I said: ‘Sister Ludmilla, don’t stay at the border’ 'I’m considering it with my whole heart.’ She replied. ......... That same night September 20th after the evening service sister Ludmilla was baptized in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. ......... Hello...... We now have a shipping company that is getting the job done for us. That being so, we are going to send the quilts. YAY!...... So...before I go off to UPS and ship the quilts to our US starting point, I want to ask if anyone is interested in taking the boxes of quilts to Deming, WA? Sometimes we have brothers who are in the trucking business or even someone just wanting to take a trip....... The quilts are located in central Indiana and need to go to Deming, WA.......
